FAQ'S

HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE HYPNOTIZED?

Most people feel very relaxed.  Almost like you might feel during meditation or savasana at the end of a yoga class.  It is sort of twilight state between sleep and awake when the brain waves start to slow down.  Some people are convinced that they cannot be hypnotized because they are surprised by amount the awareness going on in the mind while in a hypnotic state.

WHAT IF I CAN’T BE HYPNOTIZED?

Believe it or not, everyone can be hypnotized.  Hypnosis is a very natural state that we all experience everyday.  Have you ever cried or laughed during a movie? What was happening on the screen wasn’t real but your body responded physically.  This is because you allowed yourself to go along on the journey.  This is also true with hypnotherapy.  If you have the will to be hypnotized you will have no problem dropping into hypnosis.

WILL I LOSE CONTROL IN HYPNOSIS?

If you’ve ever seen a stage show of a hypnotist you may think they make you quack like a duck or bark like a dog.  But the truth is that a hypnotist can’t make you do anything you don’t consciously want to do.  If you wouldn't do something, consciously, in a waking state, you would not be able to do it under hypnosis.  Anything a therapist says that goes against your ethics, morals, and values, would immediately arouse you back to a completely conscious state.  Hypnotherapy is simply a direct way to speak to the unconscious mind, where all the conditioning and programs run.  It works best when both conscious and subconscious mind work together to help you achieve your goals.  In reality hypnosis gives you the ultimate control over your life.

WILL I REMEMBER ANYTHING AFTER MY SESSION?

Usually yes!  Some people experience amnesia during hypnosis but it is also common to remember many of the suggestions you receive.  Different people experience different depths and deeper doesn’t always mean better.  In fact, some treatments require a much lighter state of hypnosis to be most effective.
